It was a joy to hear my 5-year old Debby read a portion of my book during our Morning Prayer time. We read page 38 of Don’t Die Sitting where we learned to Hear Positive and Speak Positive. It takes great faith to sleep in a stormy situation and you can acquire that faith by constantly reading and hearing the word of God.

Don't Die Sitting - Book Cover

So many talented, educated, and gifted people are stuck in life because they are afraid to step out and show the world what they are made of. But to succeed in life, you've got to face your fear and take necessary actions.

After they've been condemned as social misfits and rendered homeless, they have to decide if they should go back to the city that expelled them, maintain their homeless status until they die, or face the future in spite of its unforeseen dangers. Their faith will challenge you. Their courage will fire you up. Their story will inspire you.

I recently learned something very interesting about the definition of design. "Design is the creation of new, the innovation of old, or the modification of current systems to produce a product or service." Creation is the act of making something "that is original and stands up to the industry scrutiny. Innovation is the development of a new way of using current technology to do something new. Modification is a change to a current product or service to perform a similar function, or to do the same thing, only better."

It was fun to be around the ‘Middle Schoolers' at 'Da Fuse' to talk about our identity and attempt to discover who we really are. Thanks to all young people who came out to share their thoughts. We kicked off the discussion by examining the Driver License of Jose Gomez, Jr., a guy who lives in Mexifornia. Mexifornia? Yes, you read that right - Check your map.

good bad habits

We are all creatures of habits - some habits help us achieve our life goals while others hinders us from getting ahead in life. A good farmer will get rid of weeds so that his seeds could grow healthy and produce good crops. Likewise, if you want a healthy, productive life, you need to get rid of some bad habitual weeds that might hinder your success in life. It is common sense that if you want something different, you have to do something different.

The decisions you make today have the power to alter the course of your life and of your generations after you. If you are humble and have reverence for God, He will guide your judgment and teach you what to choose. If you are currently suffering from the consequence of a bad career choice, a bad friend, a bad house, a wrong relationship, it is time to allow God to teach you how to choose correctly. I read from Patrick Kelley's book - Tax Free Retirement - that Credit Card companies send out 2.5 billion applications every year - an everage of 25 applications for every man, woman, and child in America.Leaving out people who will never receive any of these applications, that means that some people receive over 100 of these applications every year. You can guess the result, many people take advantage of these 'offers' to dig themselves into more debt.

But there is a way out, in a minute or less, you can remove yourself from receiveing pre-qualified credit offers in the mail. It is that simple and supposedly has the possibility of raising your credit score. Take one minute to remove yourself now!

In February 2011, I stumbled upon a post on a friend’s Facebook about a business opportunity that will be coming to Maryland (USA) later that month. As an enthusiast who is always open to new and innovative business ideas, I called my friend up to know what’s up. He told me about the energy deregulation market in Maryland and the possibility to profit from the $500 billion energy industry by saving money on my energy bill and also make money when I help people save money on their energy bills. I thought this will be very interesting and I was very curious about the business model. After 2-3 weeks of researching energy deregulation in Maryland, in the first week of March 2011, I decided to take on the Ignite opportunity.

I am working on a project to help young people define real success, but I realize that success, like a fingerprint, is unique to individuals and it means different things to different people.

In his book titled "Strategic Acceleration," Tony Jeary gave a simple definition for success. Tony said, "We are successful when we achieve objectives we have established in advance."

I am working on my debut book titled "Don't Die Sitting" and I hope to publish it this year. According to Tony's definition, I am successful when I get my book published this year. I am working hard towards success.

I need your help. In two sentences or less, how will you define success for young people? I look forward to your input and I really appreciate you taking the time. Thank you.
